      Are you using the share/tweet buttons on the news posts?

      if you've done any troubleshooting work then you'd know the person will never tell you what you need to know to fix the problem. on game forums they even forget to mention the platform they're on, what they've done, etc.

      That's bug reporting, not feedback.

      @phaethonas said in Is it going to be F2P, B2P or P2W?:

      It is b2p, although it is not clear (at least to me) if any expansions will be free or b2p.

      As of 9 months ago, no plans for paid expansions or dlc.

    • RE: Legendary weapons

      I wouldn't mind if there were extremely difficult to craft "legendary" weapons that had unique looks and/or effects.

      @finland said in Legendary weapons:

      @sharo dude the weapons and gear will not influence the combat πŸ˜‰

      That's a bad thing to be spreading to new players. Of course weapons and armor are going to influence combat. There just won't be there upgraded versions of weapons/armor.

      I played today and it’s broke. Please fix.

      How is that good feedback?

      That's a pretty ridiculous exaggeration of bad feedback. That specific feedback would be ignored. If it was "X is broke, please fix", and it was being echoed, then the devs would know that there's something wrong with X or players' perception of X.

    • RE: Pre-Kickstarter Exclusives

      @jetah All feedback (to an extent) is useful. Even what you called poor feedback is useful if people are agreeing with it. I don't think pricing should take into account what kind of feedback a player might give.

      But what kickstarter pricing should try control for are player reviews. If you let a lot of people in that don't really care about the well-being of the game, they'll come in, see that the game is unfinished/unpolished or they didn't understand what kind of game they bought into, and go to reddit or whatever and trash talk the game. That's a lot more detrimental to the success of the game than just bad feedback.

      Beastmen can transform into their primal forms, so transformation skills aren't out of the realm of possibility.

      I just mean, usually as time progresses everyone tends to gravitate to the FOTM build and or what everyone picks as the best build. There needs to be a way to combat this.

      The way to combat this is constant balancing. It was a problem Guild Wars 1 had to deal with, and it's why build customization got neutered for GW2. Hopefully DS can keep up with the balance patches.

      Funcom changes a some PvE servers to PvP servers and "carebears" that got ganked because of it drown Conan Exiles in bad reviews on Steam.... Jeeeez, DS don't listen to carebears. They are small part of community but are very "vocal"

      That's more about the devs pulling a shitty move than about carebears vs gankers. If they converted PvP servers to PvE, there would still be mass salt, just from a different group of people. If some time after Fractured launches, Tartaros suddenly becomes PvE only, I'd be pretty pissed.

      @finland said in Fishing:

      Absolutly not. I totally disagree the Monopoly of top guilds. Fishing should be free. Fishing licence could be interesting but you get it once and you have done. maybe making more licence to get, one for each biome.

      This could be one of those things that are different per planet. On Arboreus, everyone is free to fish wherever they want. Guild controlled territory on Syndesia may require licenses, but you can illegally fish. If you're caught illegally fishing, the guild controlling the area are free to knock you out and loot your inventory without getting flagged. Tartaros is no rules as always.

      But I must assume gear from rarer resources must be better than gear that is not - better could be all sorts of things as in +to hit, +to armor, better resists etc. If it's not then honestly there's no point.

      I imagine easily acquired gear will have very middling stats. Rarer resources could be used to craft equipment with more extreme tradeoffs, making them coveted by people min-maxing their builds.

    • RE: GvG siege questions

      I'm concerned about what kind of limitations, if any, will be placed on when raids can happen. A big problem in open world pvp settlement games (like Rust) is that your settlement can be raided and destroyed when everyone is offline. It kills the thrill of GvG pvp when you know your enemies are most likely to attack when no one is around to defend.

      I could have sword than it was possible if you have high enough strength (like over 20), but I can't find where I thought I read it. Maybe I'm just mixing it up with another game.

      @finland Yeah, I'm not advocating for WASD movement (I don't mind either way). Was just pointing out that it's possible to have WASD and skills; there are actually a lot of games that work that way, but Battlerite was the only one off the top of my head that was top down.
