    • How can we support the team?

      Just a general question:

Is there anything fans of the game can do to support the team (Other than help drum up interest)?

Is there a PayPal or some other address we can send the team a few bucks for some coffee or pizza? Nothing big, no strings or rewards kind of situation - More of a, "Hey, I like this idea. Lunch is on me!" sort of donation.

At least until the Kickstarter arrives!

@prometheus said in Crafting and Gathering - What's the plan?:

@Thayn we'll have a Spotlight dedicated to crafting, as @Vengu mentioned, and it would take a little too long to reply here eheh. Suffices to say, you'll definitely be able to play as a crafter only and your role will be pivotal in any guild / group.

This is wonderful news, @Prometheus! Looking forward to the spotlight!

And thank you @Vengu for the link! Off to read it now.

    • Crafting and Gathering - What's the plan?

I realize it is likely far too soon to begin discussing the particulars of the system (as they are likely a bit further down the line than even basic interactions and other systems), but I'd be interested in learning more about crafting and resource gathering, and a general overview of how the developers plan to implement this system.

I realized they've offered some brief snippets (Like not finding swords on rats, and that players will craft a log), but as a former UO player who got hooked on that games methods and implementation (See a tree? Cut it down. At a mountain? Start digging...) and how you can craft without engaging in any form of combat. I'm hopping they will be able to discuss their vision for the system, and how it integrates with the "magic" system they just announced.

Perhaps an article just discussing what they see happening?

      Sincerely,
      A-Crafter-Not-A-Fighter.

    • RE: To hype or not to hype?

I am very excited by what I have read so far about the design and direction the developers are planning to take the game.

Having said that, my desire to "hype" is tempered only by the knowledge that they are a very small team. Small teams without budgets surely have a hard time bringing something this ambitious to market, let alone one that consists of less than 10 people.

I am hopeful, cautiously optimistic.. But for now, no hype. Not yet. When they announce more team members and some kind of financing, through a publisher or Kickstarter, I'll be in full on hype mode.

      Until then, here's to hoping.

    • Greetings to All!

      Greetings, everyone!

Long time MMO player here, and glad to have found out more about this game. I look forward to hearing more about it, and hope this young, upstart indie team can see this one through!

Also, I'm a crafter looking for a guild. Human will be my race of choice. If anyone has any good recommendations for a guild that needs crafters and supports RP, please let me know!

P.S., The Foundation is an awesome idea for community engagement - It's sure to help keep people around until the final product is ready.

Good luck to the team, and see everyone around!
