tested it and it really does what you said. It's a bug and should be fixed.

I remember Prometheus saying that becoming an Angel is the only way for demon to become good (cannot find it now and I have to run
) but for beastkin that would be strange if he could go on killing spree and remain neutral.

@phaethonas I'm not sure if you're doing it on purpose or you just cannot understand what I'm writing... I wrote that you don't need extra balancing for instances and you're going "so you're saying you need extra balancing"
So I'll stop it by saying as clearly as possible: I think you're wrong and no extra balancing is needed for instances.
Please don't take it as personal attack.

@phaethonas in instanced PvP there is a difference between small scale instance and large scale. In non-instanced you have to balance for both as you will have both huge sieges and small scale skirmishes. It's a bit different with PvE but not that much and balance in PvE isn't as important as in PvP. And exactly as @Finland said in open world pvp you have to build for PvP not PvE.

@Logain @Finland if the portal will require resources from PvE then it wont be that easy to gather on Tartaros - after all if you collect a lot there are other demons that might decide that you should "share" with them
And about builders groups - how many demons will say "ok, i'll stay and build instead of having fun wrecking havoc"

@phaethonas do you think and are you trying to say that if we have no instances they can leave small scale PvP and PvE unbalanced because who cares? Cause otherwise I'm not getting your point about balance and instances problem.
And what you're saying about PvE group only makes sense if you're talking about instance because otherwise you will always have too many players there and it will not matter what are the requirements - if you need 1 burst, 1 sustain, 2 range, 2 tanks, 2 healers it will just go with 50 burst and 1 tank
And everyone will have to have build prepared for PvP anyway.
Your argument would be valid if that was the other way - if we had instances and wanted open world PvP. Then it would require more balancing, the other way around is already included in non-instanced.

In this post Prometheus said you're always able to return - so my guess is there is no time-out / limit to 30 mins visits and mayhem. That's why I would think that kicking demon out of beastkin planet after death would be preferable.

Open dungeon works ONLY if there is no PvP. Otherwise you have PvP dungeon not PvE

@phaethonas with balancing you're making up problems. Balancing will be the same regardless of instancing or not. What difference does it make if the PvE is instanced or not? What difference does it make for PvP? Scale? But they have to balance it for small scale anyway.
I think there was mentioned somewhere between the many lines that there will be PvE dungeons for crafting mats. You cannot have PvE dungeon without instancing.
The game might turn out to be something that I won't like - because I don't enjoy PvP. But there are many aspects that are very interesting and that keep me interested in this game. That's why I'm wasting my time posting on this forum

@phaethonas i think you misunderstand what Open World means. Open World Definition
It doesn't have anything to do with instances. Single player Open World games are basically whole single instance games

Respawn planet
I'm curious how respawn planet will be dealt with.
On one side we have invading demons that should respawn on their home planet so it's harder for them to get back into fight. One the other we have angels and abominations - it might be very unpleasant for them to respawn on ex-home planet
In the middle we have neutral beastkin and demons that might want to live on Syndesia and getting back there each time after someone kills them might be a pain.
