@Tuoni Jacopo talks about the Lich a bit

      at 25:55 and 37:25

PS: Jacopo talks a bit slow in the Q&As, to save some time you can speed them up to 1.5 / 1.75 😛

Well I do not actually need a proof and I believe you, but my point was that the idea of neutral Lich does not sound right, it feels kind of weird and gives wrong first impression. I understand that there is a place for human/neutral transformation, but now I hope devs would have chosen something else, something more believeable, something more suitable.

      🤦 😅 I would prefer Fluffy

In all honesty, Humans don't transform to Beastmen so I don't know what you're talking about. 😛

I don't know.. There is going to be Lich transform for evil, so why not something for beastman direction as well?

We will have angels, demons and liches, but what will be human that transforms to beastman? Have there been any official information related to this or at least speculative rumours?

@Gothix Or does this game need global chat at all? I personally hope that we will see only local chats.

@Pluto said in I suggest to continue the Foundation program:

I think the idea was to reward those who were active the most when the game needed it the most... when there's no content being made in the area. Once the NDA lifts, people will be spreading the word consistently.

This is coming from a lowly leveled Foundation member lol

It is of course valueable to spread the word during kickstarter campaign to get more people to pledge. However, using "needed most" is not quite the truth if you think this from testing and gamedesigning point of view. The most important tests, suggestions and feedbacks are still waiting to come. Discord is mostly not used at all and forums have been really quiet several months backwards.. How that have been valueable to the game?

On top of that spreading the word and getting more people in Fractured has still a huge value like before. NDA comes as a new bonus and marketing method, but it won't replace the value of current word spreading what people are doing with shares and referrals. NDA gives people a chance to create content of the game, but that does not automatically mean highway to success. Many channels are quite small and reaches just small audience where most followers are from Fractured community.

@Gothix I agree. It would be fair to raise the gap so those who are already maxed out would also have more to achieve.

    • I suggest to continue the Foundation program

I was a lil bit shocked when Spectre told me, that the Foundation system is most likely going to end in near future during Alpha test phase. So it seams that Foundation program was meant to be part of kickstarter campaign and pre-alpha testing phase. End of the Foundation program would be a shame actually, because the base idea is really good. I believe, that the reward ladder system encourages people to spread the word, stick with the game and participate to conversations. It is kind of win-win situation.

So why not continue Foundation program through all the testing phases and stop just before release?

Imho it would be wise to continue, because I see Foundation program even more valueable after Alpha 1 release than time before that. Then Fractured has more concrete content to show, and the possibility to buy the game and start to play immediately. This would also lead people to participate more to conversations, leave suggestions and give feedbacks.

The Foundation program does not need to continue in current form and some parts could be changed to cater better upcoming development phases. Make new quests, ladders and rewards, or update the current ones if needed. No matter what kind of changes you will make if those just suits better for upcoming test phases.

There is one part where I would like to see some change, and it is the daily posting quest. Current quest encourages now just throw one quick post to Daily Message posting or Welcome to Fractured forum sections. This won't advance the game much though. I understand the argument, that this quest was there to keep current community members stick with the product. However, during upcoming test phases, it is important to get more from the community than just that. Reward more those who actually participates to improve Fractured as a game and not just those daily spammers.

I would be suprised if there is a single person who wants the Foundation program to end, because it does not hurt anyone. It is like symbiosis where both sides benefits and are the winners. So keep the program, make some changes if needed and I believe this will have a positive effect to development. Thanks DS.

I would suggest to check out Lewpac who is a content creator in Albion Online. I can see how he could be interested of Fractured too. He has about 4K subs in Youtube and has Twitch channel as well. His videos have good quality. He was also a commentator in competitive 5v5 tournament matches and he did a really good job there.

    • RE: Feel free to join the Eriador Rangers

Your guild concept sounds interesting. I like when guilds have some kind of theme. What it comes to open world PvP I have always enjoyed to hunt down criminals more than innocent people. Especially if we can see some kind of bounty system. BTW, is Rangers of Eriador a RPG guild?

      Best regard,

    • RE: How I imagine starting on Tartaros would be...

@Meiki I guess that would be quite shortcut way to do that tutorial. If tutorial won't be a thing in Fractured maybe then at least something like that.

Tutorial as I see it is to help new players with game mechanics and introducing the world. This can be done via quest chains which cover different aspects of game. Those shows you how to gather, refine resources and craft first gear pieces. That teaches player the knowledge system, talent tree, combat and shows how to unlock abilities. So tutorial should cover all the basics so players does not need to try figure out everything by themselfs. And if tutorial is 100% optional and can be skipped if wanted, then no ones butt will hurt if they don't want to do that.

    • RE: Weekly Drawings - Be Active & Win Foundation Points!

@Specter said in The Foundation - Weekly Drawings:

@Tuoni I don't really think it's worth changing at this point as the Foundation is most likely going to end at some point during the alpha.

😳 Well if that is the case then ofc there is no reason to make changes anymore. However, ending foundation system in state of game where it could be even more useful sounds really weird solution imho.

When Alpha 1 without NDA is already going on, then Foundation system will be more valueable than atm. Then those new visitors who have lured to check out Fractured, have more actual content to follow and even possibility to join game straight away. Moreover, community has more to talk about, and more suggestions and feedback to give.

I do not expect to see any hand holding, but creating an informative tutorial is as important for any new player regardless of the race, or how casual or hardcore you are.

@Jetah said in Questions about Guilds:

yeah we argued over it in that thread.

there shouldn't be a limit in a sandbox.

maybe alliances, or something similar can be a way 1 guild can have members across all 3 planets.

my problem with no restrictions is it will be so much easier to transport goods with have access to all the major chat channels (if they exist).

I read that thread and unfortunately it did not answer to the important questions.

I agree, that there should not be limits in sandbox game like Fractured.

I hope there will be only small local chat channels.

Maybe transporting can be easier if you organize the transport chain in reasonable way, but in otherhand you have problems to arrange group activity with different races.. So maybe the pros and cons are in balance with different guild compositions.. maybe. Hard to say at this point.

    • RE: How I imagine starting on Tartaros would be...

I would like to see well thought tutorial for launch. First impression for players is something that should be done right and informative way. It should teach new players the basics without making it too heavy. Maybe planets could have partly own tutorials where one part focus more on starting planet things. Albion online is a good example where tutorial for launch was too simplified and I guess biggest reason for this was lack of time and rush to get all done before d-day. Now almost two years after launch they have done new and more interesting tutorial..
