@Vancushen As @Prometheus pointed out to me earlier on yesterday, not all magic spells deal magic damage. For example, Fire Bolt does fire damage, and Ice Spike deals frost damage. The Magic Missiles spell does Magic damage. So the +8% Magic Damage, only affects non-elemental magic
What about weapons? I tried fire bolt with the staff and with fists, and it did the same damage

Since we now have much higher crit chances than in past tests, it's much easier to test this. It appears that the critical chance applies properly to melee auto attacks as well as abilties.
For mages, this is not the case. Only auto-attacks can crit; Fireball, Firebolt or any other spell does not. I have taken that as a feature and not a bug, but seriously am not sure that's the case anymore.
Especially after reading the new talent "Inevitable" which states that "[…] the first […] abilty you use […] is critical if it can be so." this clearly suggests that there are some abiltites, which cannot crit. I have not been able to find any though, which clearly state that in their description. Or is this more referencing to abilities which are not of damaging nature? Obviously a Frenzy skill cannot crit or mage armor or such.
So the overall question is: Are mage abilities supposed to be able to crit and share the crit chance listed in the character window? And if so, I assume the same for attack speed and mage auto attacks?
@Prometheus maybe you could shine some light into this dark corner?

I thought the same, that you can crit with skills, but until now i did not see that.
Is it normal that you do the same damage with spells using a staff and your fists?
I have tried with different animals and it's the same damage (i even have +8% spell damage in my staff)

Most of my best friend are the ones that i found playing Lineage 2. We actually were part of an alliance and our clans merged.
After an year or so, we start the gatherings (not online) and we end up playing like an entire saturday night in one of the dudes house (we actually cooked and then keep going).
This was like 8 years ago and we still gather like twice a month to eat and remember old stuff.
One of them move to Spain (I'm from Argentina) and we are not able to play anything at the moment, but i know we will meet again in Fractured,i already mention this game to him and will buy it when this is available (this is still to expensive to be played right now, but i think we will be able to play one the Beta 2 is open). I was even the best man as his wedding before he left.

LOL... i played Meridian 59, still have the original booklet and CD. so i am old too...
Dude, that's exactly why i want to play this game, it reminds me so much of Ultima Online and that game was really fun.
@Freas i would love to play this game, as there are not many top-down games and also, open pvp (most of the games now have instances for pvp and that really sucks).
It also looks like Albion online, but without the p2w.
The idea of having your own town it's awesome and i will love to see videos of full cities with walls and see if they can be sieged (things like that are great).
I would love a key.
I really want to play this game, but it's too expensive (not the game itself, but considering where i live, it is), i need to wait at least until Beta 2 (it's the cheapest one)
