      thinking further..

      This would also add to another level of the raise dead spell.

      so let's say raise dead is level 6 spell? then the next raise dead level spell would be
      called "Regenerative Raise Dead"

      so.... ?...

      A player kills you but walks away leaving your corpse undefiled? no problem. You use raise dead spell.

      A player kills you and does defile your body? By taking a body part from you?.. You use Regenerative Raise Dead
      Spell.

      A small message appears as your body rises to the land of the living once more. "Although your body has been defiled.. the energies have recovered your "Enter here/Claws, Head, Organ, whatever" once more so you may rise once again!"

      It would need to be shorter. Maybe? "You regenerate to live again" which would mean.. you had been cut apart for components but the magic of the gods/of the realm has reformed those missing parts so you may continue on.

      Or.. If raise dead spell or enhanced raise dead spell are not going to ever be viable mechanics then make it so it takes longer to 'get up again' after dying with a small message attached as you raise to your feet. Mind you there is also risk because the player taking the body parts off of you will need to spend that extra time on your body doing the deed which will also make him more vulnerable to attack so there is an upside and downside to it all.

      I personally think this is a great idea. PvP has so few rewards in it as it is.

    • Angel's and Other Race Idea's.

      Questions about Angels. Perhaps some "idea's" as well?

      I would think that Angels would get a movement speed bonus... of sorts?.. in the way of "Gliding" to targets. I think this is a 'given' but obviously not sure as it is up to the game makers.

      Perhaps an unlock-able ability as well for Angels would be to "Fast Travel" from port to port or continent to continent?

      Perhaps Angels also take 'extra' damage from fire since they have Wing and have forsaken their demonic heritage?

      Are Angel feathers a rare craftable ingredient component? used in recipes? perhaps slain in battle you can loot some feathers so you can later use some feathers in magical items you create or potions you would make/mix?

      Or if you want to get 'extra grim' about it? perhaps allow demons to skin/chop up human bodies for body parts? they use them in stews/potions or whatever for demonic potion buffs? I know it's pretty gross but it does fit into this storyline/theme.

      Perhaps the ears of a weretiger? beastman? maybe make it so all races have components built into them which makes us all fair game for each other for magical component parts?

      This could become something for a future expansion of course as they are working on the core game but I thought it would 'add' levels of benefit to the PvP sector and also add to the crafting and PvM sector all in one/combined. It will encourage others to branch out their fields to get more/better gear later on.

      Perhaps even to add insult to injury make it so some of the items work like this.

      Skull of the lich? gets transformed into a helmet. You click on the helmet to examine it and it says it's for example:

      Helmet of the Undying Lord.
      Stats: +5 Int
      +15 Mana Gain
      +30 Magical Resist
      and underneath a caption......

      "Once the Head of Vyr Vandalous The Lich whom had Fallen In Battle"

      Or something like that. >=)

      Ugh.

      These people (Developers) have been true to their word. They do podcasts and alpha releases and talk with the community. They have stopped long ago now taking funding for this game. They are completely on the level. Judge each situation based upon it's own merit's and not of those in the past. It is not fair to them. That's like saying you got ripped off by a car salesman and so now you refuse to drive. Don't let it make you jaded.

      its called a node spawn. I can see you don't code/program. Its super easy to do. set on timers.. or even depleted. This is not meant to be an infinite well.. but some window dressing to the game.

      @Razvan No.. Of course not.

      Use some Imagination here. It takes work. ... perhaps certain 'dice rolls' are needed to succeed on the task?... perhaps while you are camped out in the ruins there is a random encounter table who may 'attack' your encampment at night? perhaps it takes a few days? perhaps you need to purchase a permit to excavate in this region? perhaps special tools are needed for this?

      I have seen many games with archaeologists / the class in it and it does work. I think it adds a serious level of realism to the game. We/the players create the towns/cities. We create the economy... this is what the dev's want... so why not also have us create the history of it as well? and able to excavate from the spoils of days gone by for those who would now lay claim to new regions? or learn to discover new secrets?

      If relics are 'rare' for example.. 1 per server and a guild has let's say 3 of them. The guild disbands/quits.. the city goes into decay.. then those relics are now lost to the game/to the server forever in forgotten code oblivion right? This allows these items to re circulate back into the community for us that are still here/with the game.

      First off..

      This idea was about/to possibly be included in a future expansion.

      There are going to be governors/players who play the game but then quit playing the game due to other commitments/real life or whatever.

      This will leave a ruined city on the map. So why not add to the environment? the fun of it? make it more 'epic/role playish/cultural? By adding in the archaeologist idea / mechanic into it?

      Create a random table.. you find... you discover.... you unearth... an ancient tomb sits before you.... an old mining shaft opens up and in there you discover a small vein of diamonds.. or whatever.

      An old god temple relic lies within... You quickly seize it and ferry it back to your temple in your city state/town.

      This adds new levels of depth to the game and to the history and to the landscape and the world.

    • Archaeologist Sub Class Tree

      I was watching the video here:

      At roughly 49:00 in the time it mentions that towns once owned by players can degrade and turn into 'Ruins".

      a neat idea? Allow or create an Archaeologist sub class tree for this. Then as time goes by a player can go to a once owned operated town and do an excavation dig/create a dig site and discover old treasures left behind, old books of knowledge, old cultural information which can grant various bonuses and such. Gold coins, old statues, vases, decorative items, heraldry's and maybe even more?

      I though this was a great idea. I think this would be good for 'later on' down the road of course. Maybe an expansion? but it does make alot of sense to me.

    • Other Accessory Ideas

      G'Day Folks.

      Just a few more idea's of items/things that I would like to see in game.

      Saddlebags to increase carrying capacity for horses.
      Mules which can carry more weight than horses.
      City Building: Library/Mage/Scribe Tower.
      Apothecary/Healing Building/Herbs/Medicine.
      Teleport Station: Building to go from major town to major town in your realm/sphere of influence.
      Ultra Rare Metals: Found deep deep in the mountains. Mithral and other exotic ores to be discovered.
      Guild Heraldry: On cloaks, shields, armor chest plates, center of garden in towns, banners, so forth.
      Telescope: For seeing enemies at a far distance.
      Magical Gems which can be inputted into city wall defenses which are enchanted with various effects.
      Cannons, Ballistas, Trebuchet's and other ranged siege equipment which can be placed on governor city walls and towers
      and even on personal governor owned castle blueprints.

      These are just a few ideas for the week.

      Hi. I was wondering if we can only tame pre-existing creatures? or can we also "Raise" new ones?

      Can we do cross breeding for various effects?

      Will we have animal pens/cages for them?

      Will there be 'magical' ways of accelerating their growth? enhancing their abilities?

      Are there going to be any winged pets which actually fly? or water based pets who only swim?

      Besides those that reside on land of course.

      Just some thoughts

      Here are some thoughts for the developers.

      #1. Will mounts be killable? What about the mounts from the forum points/reward mounts?
      #2. Can each character made on the account get a mount? or only 1 mount per account claimed from the forum reward
      system?
      #3. Can mounts be placed into a bank slot? be exchanged? are they bound to account? bound to character?
      #4. If you have a feral mount .. but lets say in the case of a tamed mount... and then give it to another character... does it
      remain 'tamed' under the new owner? or revert back to feral since this animal is unfamiliar with the new owner?
      #5. Can you be dismounted from a mount in combat?
      #6. Are there shrink potions for mounts? Hitching posts? portable bags? How does one dismount? or "Stall" their mount?
      Are there locations for this?
      #7. Can saddles be upgraded? ones that 'enhance' animals abilities? speed? deflection? magic resist? so forth?
      #8. Is there mount armor? Bronze/Iron/So forth craftable?
      #9. Can mounts be resurrected? Killed? spirit bonded?
      #10. Can mounts be 'healed' by bandages? magic? so forth?
