    • RE: Suggestion - herb gardens and a spice trade

Building on specifically the poison idea, it would be cool if one was able to add their own power into poisons, like an illusionist would be able to make a poison that can cause hallucinations.

Also, it would be fun if assassins would also be able to use poisons on their blades. It would make assassination more interesting, especially if the victim has to get an antidote from a healer or something in order to survive.

    • RE: Restoration magic and summons

@gothix said in Restoration magic and summons:

Infusing life into inanimate objects could be interesting.

It could work like in old RPG-s where if you found some clay or dirt on the ground and casted a spell on it you could summon a clay giant, and if you casted your spell on rock surface you would summon a rock giant.

Fractured will already have certain ground spots designated as certain type, and spell might be a ground targeted AOE cast and depending where you cast it, you might get different type of summon.

Clay or rock giants, water elemental, sand monster,... you name it. All by using just one same spell.

Speaking of golems, it would be interesting if alchemists could build these creatures to defend/attack towns or maybe guard bridges. There could be a specific recipe, and maybe you would have to retrieve specific materials from around the map. This would give a way for alchemists to contribute to town defense, and I think it would be pretty cool.

    • RE: Tessitura, a Guild in Poliponi (town)

@dordolio If you're having trouble finding guild members, you can try to reach out to people who you play with in other games. If that doesn't work out, try to change your guild description to make it more appealing to other players. You seem to be emphasizing on the musician part of your guild a lot, so if a player doesn't read the guild description carefully, they may get the impression that Tessitura is only for music-oriented players.

    • RE: Angels and different forms for the races.

I would assume that angels have a new skill set, but I am not sure.

In response to the second question, we know that Beastmen can turn into Abominations if they betray their own kind, and a Human can turn into a Lich.

    • RE: Guild

Adding on the Aurellas's questions, what race is your character? Currently, there are race restrictions on different guilds.

If you happen to be a beastman, I would recommend the guild, Elusive. It is a guild for more casual players who don't want to spend all their time playing the game. The people there are really awesome, and we also have the Soul of Arboreus (highest beastman rank) and 2 High Druids (2nd highest beastman rank).

      Hey! Welcome to the community!

You'll find that the people here are incredibly welcoming, and I hope you have a good time.

p.s. Nice username. The Eragon series was the thing that got me into fantasy.

    • RE: Small Guild's Sharing a Town

A senate with representatives from each guild may work, except many guilds might prefer to go to a town where they could dominate instead of your town. A mercenary guild, for example, would probably prefer a guild town where the Governor is part of their guild. It would give them more of a free reign, and let them get away with illegal behavior.

Also, for the issue where you want to stop your town from becoming a guild town, the only way that I see is becoming an Governor yourself, and trying to be as impartial as possible.

    • RE: Hi everyone!

The pre-alpha is starting in November.

However, you only get a pre-alpha key if you are high up in the leaderboards or if you win a drawing.

      Good luck!

    • RE: Weave Fracture cataclysm, Elysium lore into exploration

It has been confirmed that their will be no story driven quest lines, but we do know that there will be some lore. However this lore doesn’t involve a modern world like you suggested as far as I know. In the first spotlight, it disscussed some parts of the lore from different perspectives, and from what I gather, the Fracture was caused by a group of human traitors how sided with a demon army lead by a blood demon. The beastmen got their own shielded world, Arboreus, and the demons were sent to Tartaros.

I apologize if I got any parts of the lore wrong (I probably did), and I hope you have a nice day!

    • RE: Game Mechanics I want to see

@therippyone When you mentioned the egg, I started wondering. If we do end up getting the taming stretch goal, are we going to be able to hatch creature eggs?

For example, in one of these fire rain events, or even an eclipse, maybe you could go fight a dragon boss and get an egg, or maybe even steal the egg from the dragon. Then maybe you would have to drop it into a fire or something and slowly hatch it and help it grow.

    • RE: Special weekly market

@elemesmo2 I say no. Since Fractured is meant to have a player driven economy, as mentioned by many people, this would go against the game's very foundations. Instead, players could act as merchants. There are already many merchant guilds, and they could act as traveling merchants instead of NPCs.

    • RE: Preventing Bots in Arboreus

Since Fractured is less about grinding than other MMOs, there hopefully won't be as many bots. However, a report system would probably the best solution.
