    • RE: Is Alt-Spamming even a bad thing?

@Razvan the thing is, if you scout ahead and actually find a group of gankers, you are goinf back to the city with your Main and all the resources, right?
That pretty much ends your play session right there, haha
But what if you pay a group of mercenaries, or are accompanied by guild companions to make that trip. You are going to fight, right?

Would it be cool to have a tracker character that can actually give you some information of the enemies nearby ( equipment, skills, number of players ) before the fight so you can prepare accordingly? Would it outweight the expendable alt option?

    • How to implement fast travelling?

Hello everyone, I just wanted to post some ideas for fast travelling, and help with the brainstorming for devs in some way.

Well, i likes a lot how fast travelling through moongates was in UO, a bit complicated, as it depended on the position of the moon to where you arrived, but it was balanced.

I think Fractured could benefit from open rifts, or wormholes that opened at a certain time of day ( or permanent ), and DON'T let your mount or cart pass through. So this way travellers can move faster, but gatherers and merchants are forced to walk all the way. This endorses instances where they gather friends or mercenaries to guard their caravan, and arrive safely on destination.

Just like un Ultima Online, there could be some way of tracking or detecting nearby enemies ( and hidden enemies ) so the caravan has time to prepare for the possible engagement. This would also endorse versatility in character building and specialization, and makes for a different viable way of making a living in Fractured, offering your services as a tracker.

Maybe this is completely out of the vision that Fracture devs have for the game, but I just want to share ideas and also see how other people think about them.

    • RE: Player Professions and possible implementation idea

@Roccandil I think there could be recipes for crafters to buy from treasure hunters. Old knowledge lost in ruins, found by these guys and then passed to crafters. This could endorse a healthier ecosystem too. More people out there, more risk of pvping. Maybe even the crafter might go out there and look for these recipes, accompanied by other talented warriors.
Maybe you even need some skills to find this knowledge, relics, books, recipes or whatever, so theres even more diversity and other specialization branches to make a living off

    • RE: Player Professions and possible implementation idea

@maze I agree with specialization, and there should be a system that preventa everyone from doing everything. I don't think You should choose one profession though, because people will just make alts. I think there should be some level of "grinding" to be really good on one profession, so it has real value for the gatherer/crafter to actually be one. The logic behind should be, it's better to invest my resources and time in only one activity, as it will be more lucrative in the short and also long range.

Good idea is that one of needing knowledge points to learn about crafting, being it recipes, better the quality, or lessen the amount of resources needed to craft certain items.

    • Hello, everyone

Hi, i'm Xamedhi, Coming with a lot of excitement for this game, as i'm a massive fan of UO T2A era, and this game looks like a massive spiritual reincarnation, ten times better, haha. Love how the developers are always participant and communicating with the testers.
Also, this is the first time I back a project so early, so I hope I can be of some help to make this game awesome.
