coz it would make sense... and what could make it really solid is if it is part of the whole knowledge system that is being worked on.

If it is part of the knowledge system, i would definately back the idea of differenr languages between races 100%

@islesofurth the only issue with doing that is that it is basically the only way for people to earn points. Those that are doing it for points and dont want to be super supportive have the daily post forum to post in. people like us that actually care about the game, post on all the other forums

i dont think that would be very viable... would be frustrating to go and learn another species language... only to have the person you end up communicating with not speaking the same language as u do in reality... learn a language to not understand someone anyways. lol.

unleas the devs do dedicated servers for specific languages... who knows...

@Gothix it wouldnt be as active as it is now if it wasnt there tho.

ima not fussed either way if it is refunded or not... i am gonna buy them all again regardless... if something better comes out, all the more reason to support the devs further. If you really think you might not want something later, why risk buying it in the first place? there will be plenty of other people to test them regardless

if you are wondering how to get more points, go to the foundation overview page, then up top left of the main table you see, there should be a 'quests' tab... click on it and peruse the things you havnt already finished

i agree. the whole setup of the game is based on putting everyone on even ground. The only thing you could possibly consider and advantage in this game is maybe having access to a larger house blueprint maybe??

other than that... the only TRUE thing you can have a real advantage in is how cool your pet and mounts compare to other peoples... but lets just say... everyone will have a differing opinion of who is the most OP/Badass in the cosmetic and fashion department.

I can see the pounts from both sides... the foundation awards points for posting daily and being an active part of the community, so alot of players wouldnt even be giving any input if it wasnt there... of course, there are still players that dont (use nothing but daily post forum).

But on the other hand, the devs think people shouldnt have to have an incentive to be supportive... which is true in its own right...

i just hope i can reach lvl 200 before it is removed. 75 points to lvl 160 currently

are we able to get a title back if we 'leave the group' as a means of attempting to swap titles, only to find out it makes u unable to use said title you had equipped, again later on?

coz i left the group on general ambassador and now i can only use titles ranked from 'whisperer' to 'ambassador', despite being lvl 158 on foundation.

weren't they planning to remove the foundation when the alpha tests were over though? i think some players would feel cheated if they were getting so close to lvl 200 to be finished to have it suddenly increase if they end up being unable to finish it again (like finishing it is an achievement).

The game as an alpha is pretry amazing i would have to say. With the way the devs have been handling, i dont see the game becoming something completely different to the alpha. they seem pretty set with the idea they have in their heads. In alpha 2, there are a tonne of new features to be expected to see, even if it has been pushed back, i think it will be worth it.

Like others have said, expect to find bugs and run into issues... that is what an alpha is designed to do... catch bugs (just like a beta, but to a higher degree). If you are more looking for game mechanics and stuff, probably wait a bit, coz that is usually a focus for the beta... making sure all the game mechanics work properly (but still expect bugs).

If you do decide to invest and are able to join in on an alpha or beta, you could consider it an exclusive sneak peak but also know, like others have mentioned, there is a risk. It doesnt seem like a large one at this point though the devs got quite a bit more support with the release of the shop (hopefully it was well and truly enough).

For example, top 10 Wealthiest character's takes a +5% discount from merchants, or top 10 max damage-dealers have +5% crit chance, or first map explorer have special 20% for speed movements out of the battle on that map, etc.

based on everything the devs have posted and said... Definately not in the way you describe it... if you get a +5% crit from being one of the 5 highest DPS... how is anyone even gonna take u out of that top 5 with your unfair advantage? this game is all about AVOIDING unfair advantages... there may be achievements, but they will hopefully be only seeable by the player, the avoid gloating, as proof cant be forwarded. Titles alreasy exist, including exclusive ones... both the foundation titles and the pledge pack titles are exclusive. you cant get any of those later on (already cant get the pledge pack titles unless u already have them).

Two things i would really like to see being able to make is gates and some kind of stables. Gates can be a means of protecting all the stone and wood you have gone out to gather, but havnt decided what to use on yet, from other players. They could be lockable or set to allow only friends, guild members or specific people through, by the owner of the plot.

A stables would be a cool way to get off a mount at your plot and display it for others to see.

The only other thing i would like to see implemented for now, is if you craft 2 of the tanning tub things, they have seperate crafting shedules and you can refine 16 leather at once instead of 8 still.

There are already quite a few things you can build on your plot, even in the alpha. I created this thread both for questions and hopefully answers, and for people to express their ideas as to what else they think the devs should make possible to build and further personalise your home.

yeah i guess the rewards will be added later, especially since at least one person has admitted to cheating in the past and hacking the website (not 100% on the details just remember reading people talking about it), so they will likely want to go threw the accounts, and check peoples foundation has been gained legitimately

oh gee. that just ruins it for everyone... why do some people have to go and do that cheating is never a good thing D:<

ye, it is pretty difficult to navigate at first, but it is really well set up when you get used to it. the thing i had the most troubles with myself was getting back to the main site from these forums, untile someone was kind enough to tell me i just had to click 'fractured' at the bottom of any page of the forum. i also had issues trying to search for topics, and was told the search thing was hidden up top right. hope these two tips help in case you hadnt figured them out or been told yet
